Dr. Bertrand Boyer is a consultant orthopedic and trauma surgeon at Lyon University Hospital, France. He completed a fellowship at the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute in Bologna, Italy. His clinical practice focuses on both trauma surgery—particularly pelvis and acetabular fractures—and complex orthopedic procedures, including prosthetic joint infections and hip and knee revision arthroplasty.

Dr. Boyer holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering and is recognized for his expertise in dual mobility total hip arthroplasty. He serves on the board of the French Hip and Knee Society and is the French national representative to the European Hip Society.
