Johan Courjon

Dr Johan Courjon, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor in Infectious Diseases at the University of Nice in France (Université Côte d'Azur) and a hospital practitioner at Nice University Hospital. He specialises in the management of complex bone and joint infections and is involved in both clinical care and translational research.

His research activity is twofold: (1) clinically focused on improving the management and outcomes of bone and joint infections, and (2) translational, centered on host immune responses, particularly the activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome in severe infections such as bacteremia and COVID-19.
