Dr. Syeda Naqvi is a Clinical Microbiologist and Infectious Diseases Physician at John Hunter Hospital. She is affiliated with the Infection Research Program at the Hunter Medical Research Institute and is a member of the Lancefield Society Early-career Research Network.

She is a clinician-scientist researcher with a special interest in bacterial genomics, antimicrobial resistance, and utilising randomised clinical trials to establish optimal management strategies for severe bacterial infections. Her work aims to improve understanding of the molecular epidemiology and microbiological diagnostics for the orthopaedic infections.
